Oh my goodness, we ran all day yesterday, cleaned the house, paid bills. By the time we sat down at 8 PM, we were both tired and hungry. So we ordered a pizza.

As you may know, we’ve been trying to get healthy, lose weight, increase our stamina. But after two weeks of really being good, we decided to give in to the temptation.

It’s important to do that, sometimes. Denying myself constantly doesn’t seem to work when I’m losing weight. Every once in a while, I need to indulge.

I’ve found a new beverage that does triple duty. It fills me up, curbs my sweet craving, and rehydrates.

I add about 12 ounces of club soda (charge water, sparkling mineral water) to about four ounces of fruit juice. Pineapple is my favorite, but I use whatever I have in the house. Hubby bought a bottle of tart red cherry juice after his men’s health magazine said it has amazing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s very sour, but not too bad when diluted with fuzzy water.
